Commitment

Agreement

Consultation

(Your wants, needs and goals)

It is very important to establish what you want from English right at the very beginning.

Doing something without a clear goal is like setting off on a journey without a destination.  You get nowhere.

That is why at FES we sit down with you and discuss what it is you want from English, how much time you will have to study and how we will measure your progress and ultimate achievement.

Once we have established what you want from English we make a “commitment agreement” with you.

Essentially we make a series of promises and establish a set of milestones so that both you and the teacher know what you want to achieve and how you are going to achieve it and by when you are going to achieve it.

Evaluation

At FES we do not believe in generic evaluation testing. We believe that evaluation should be based on exactly what you want to achieve.

Therefore our evaluation process is based on your established goals and milestones.

We assess your improvement on a monthly basis against the goals and timeline that you established in the Commitment Agreement. This way you are motivated to continue improving month after month.

The WHAT, HOW and WHEN you are going to ACHIEVE your GOALS

Learning

During your class your teacher will guide you and make sure that you are doing most of the speaking. We aim for an 80% to 20% talking time split. Where you are speaking for 80% of the time.

You and your teacher will agree work you will do outside of class as well as answer any questions you may have.

Your teacher will also make sure that you are learning the correct way to use English at all times.

You will never arrive anywhere unless you know where it is you want to go
